A familiar face starts with a clear photo
A few thoughtful choices can make the process clearer and help you set realistic expectations.
One clear face in each photo
Choose a sharp, well-lit photograph without sunglasses, heavy beauty filters or another face in the background. A front-facing or gentle three-quarter view gives the model useful facial detail. Keep the full head visible; avoid a tiny face in a distant group picture.
Old photographs: use a good scan
A scan of the original is usually more useful than a screenshot of a screenshot. Both dimensions must be at least 300 pixels. Increasing the pixel count of a blurred photo does not recover missing detail. Automatic restoration is not part of this tool.
Keep the person as you remember them
Select the age, hairstyle and appearance you want the model to reference. Our prompt asks it to preserve age and identity rather than rejuvenate or beautify. This improves the request, but does not guarantee exact likeness in a moving video.
For a pet, show familiar features
Keep the eyes, ears, muzzle and distinctive coat markings visible. Avoid costumes that hide the body or very unusual angles. The pet template asks for a natural approach and nuzzling, not human anatomy or a forced standing hug.
Know what to expect before paying
AI can alter faces, hands and motion even with strong references. The website’s artwork is concept illustration, not proof of model performance. Confirmed technical failures return reserved credits; an unsatisfactory resemblance is not automatically refundable as a failed task.
